A Thinking Act
When studying the history of Mexico, bah - God - 10 years back or so, I read an interesting scholarly title The Limits of State Autonomy.
The idea, relatively simple and explained in detail over 200 or so pages, is that power in Mexico is so intertwined within circles that officials have no maneuvering space.
Now, the whole idea of an official is that he can execute policies, so all those who explain how this world is run by 10 corporations can stop reading now.
In my country there is such a thing as the Ministry of Sports (combined with other areas like education).
What would it take for a minister to execute a campaign that would endorse actual exercising, and that would renounce drinking beer in front of telly?
An old bad pun is that common sense is all but common.
