I am Right, Right?

sophism ['sɒfɪz(ə)m]

■ noun a fallacious argument, especially one used to deceive.

ME: from OFr. sophime, via L. from Gk sophisma 'clever device', from sophizesthai (see sophist).

As I think I already mentioned, there is no plausible way we can define what for instance taste or health are.

We are actually feeble minded creatures, as successfully satirized by Vonnegut or, as the folk have it - if you read books - you go crazy.

Presumptuous as it is - I would like to supplement the OED with the meaning that would avoid the word fallacious. Who knows?

Sophism (2) - taking advantage of flexibility and inconclusiveness of thought.
